Alya is an incredible advocate of people who have multiple cultures and identities. By writing her book, The Greater Freedom, she has opened up a platform to facilitate conversations with people of middle eastern heritage to share their stories.

We talk about challenging her notion of what home is by travelling to LA, and how hot-footing it back to the UK in light of the covid-19 pandemic brought home into sharp perspective.
